I'm pondering changing the standard, 25 year old brake lines to braided ones. As the car is a daily driver, and unlikely to see a track, is it worth it? I will change the rubber anyway, just to be safe in the next 6 months
Current set up is pretty much standard. Autolink standard sized discs, EBC blackstuff pads, but I do have a Jass Brake Stopper which does make a difference in firming up the feel. I am just about to swop out the suspension to replace with Meisters, and I have SuperPro bushes on the ARBs. After a year of leaving behind my Eurobox, I have now got used to the brakes, but when I jump across to the wife's XC60, I realise just how much brakes have come on in the past 25 years (maybe they are just bigger?!).
Any thoughts much appreciated... Or do I go for a stronger pad?

I've yet to upgrade on a car at all, but I've upgraded on every bike I've had, worth every penny.
They are all much of a muchness, but I always choose HEL, and I'd put my life to their quality.

@ 25 yrs old the originals would be past their best, so worth changing. As for upgrading to braided, why not? Win,win.

I made my own lines. Quite a fun job, using bits from Car Builder Solutions. Very easy to do.

One of the best upgrades on any car.

Yup, HEL ones here too, and IIRC Goodridge on my previous 5. Do it!

I added them to the order with Moss. Now just waiting for a moment when I can fit them.
