plenty of higher ratios available from Mx5 & Honda's S2000 like 4.1, 3.9 & 3.6:1
if you wanted lower ratio then Kia Sportage (mid 90's - ~2004?) or Kia Retona (anyone seen one? )FRONT diffs have 4.4, 4.6 & 4.778:1 ratio gears BUT nothing else id usable from them - rear diffs are larger!
and theres supposedly 4.9, 5.1 & 5.3:1 out in the wild spmewhere...
potentially, the B200 / Bongo & possibly Ford Ranger front diff could supply ratio's BUT I've yet to trip over one at the right price to investigate......
I've a 4.778:1 built up but really want the 5.1:1 so if Santa is reading.......

has some info re. ratio's for the 7" unit
Mazda OEM Gears currently available for the later 1994 differential assembly are 3.909:1, 4.10:1, 4.30:1, 4.44:1. Mazda has discontinued the 4.65:1 (Japan market van) and 3.636:1 (79-82 RWD 626) gears but might be found used. Steeper aftermarket racing gears can be had in 4.875:1 and 5.125:1 from Mazda Competition. FYI, the 4.44:1 came as original equipment on 1987-88 4x4 trucks on the front axle and the 3.909 also came as original equipment on the 84-85 GSL-SE automatic.

What additional parts do you need when installing the LSD P/N QN10-64-A00? (and (2) axle stubs P/N T005-27-270B if your car that came with a factory viscous-type limited slip) In addition to that what additional parts would you replace to help the longevity of the rear? Does buying a new ring and pinion offer any increased level of confidence?
