Following a phone call to Demon Tweeks yesterday... I found out that Team Dynamics have overstock of their Spec Miata rims. Bottom line is... nice new, MX5 specific race wheels for... wait for it... £363! Thats inclusive of VAT. Spec is as follows: - 15x7 ET30
- Gloss Black only at this price
- 54.1mm bore with pocketed spokes (= lighter than normal 1.2's)
Here's the page www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/competition-wheels/team-dynamics-pro-race-1-2-alloy-wheels-set-of-4 but they said NOT TO ORDER OFF THE WEB as you'll get standard bore rims. Call 01978 664468 and speak to the wheel sales guys direct. I'm teetering on the edge of a set of satin graphite 16's with ET25 for £450. Here's a photoshop of them on my 5... and I rather like em!!

One of the the best wheels for the 5 due to being light and it has genuine MX5 race credentials. The Pro Race 1 was modified into the Pro Race 1.2 at the request of the Miata racing boys (it was their mandated series wheel at the time) as the spokes on the 1 were too far proud of the tyre and when they went wheel to wheel they smashed spokes like it was a remake of Ben Hur. So there you go, the Pro Race 1.2 is a pukka MX5 race wheel. I have a set on both race cars. The gold ones on my Supercharged car are the Spec Miata ones but with an ET of 25 not 30. If you want some in a spec that isn't the half price Demon Tweeks ones can I recommend you speak to nickd of MOT Motorsport as he sells these and you'd be supporting an MX5 lover and forum user over mega rich Demon Tweeks. He sorted me out with mine for a very good price.

I suspect that isnt really 50% off at all. I just priced up the same 16's elsewhere and its about £150 less with Demon Tweeks. I just re-read their site... SAVE FROM 50%.
Its the 1st set of rims that come in a colour that will suit my car IMO... with a free choice of offset.

LOVING those gold rims. Quality looks great on the finish too.

Yeah the quality is very good. They don't paint the insides the custom colours though so although they're factory finished they're still silver on the inside. I also wished they were a darker gold but I'll get them repainted one day after I have invariably bashed them off the kerbs at various circuits and events.

It doesn't quite stack up because stock of 25 offset went from 54 to 12 over night about 3 weeks ago and they are quoting a 13 day delivery which does not make it in stock. As always with such deals, just check out what you are actually getting. Colours usually cost more certainly all options are not available in all sizes.

I'm pretty fixed on getting 16's Nick - so had been enquiring about 16x7 ET25 in satin graphite. 4-8 weeks was quoted - have to be made up by Team Dynamics. Haven't bought yet mind you... I've been a serial "almost buyer" of wheels for way too long now

I've been a serial "almost buyer" of wheels for way too long now wheels are always difficult. I adore my wheels but i cant help but not like the et40 offset on 6.5j wheels but i realised i wasnt going to find these wheels for what i paid ever again so just pulled the trigger

Jenkt on nutz has 16x7 et24 on his mk2 and they're perfect. Do it. I really want a set but think I'll have to wait until next year due to another big purchase that's about to happen for it

Real good in their cardboard boxes To my shame... my 5 is still in bits (after 18 months). I went for 16x7 ET25 in the end.
