anyone had any experience of a dropped floor on a mk1 (NA)? I guess mk2's are the same but as I've a mk1 then... I know Russel has / had a modified bodyshell & I believe it had dropped floors but has anyone else any experience with such? I'm able to chop & fabricate the section & welding is no problem  Rich. |

I've got 2 cars with dropped floors ... my Mk1 has had both sides done and I have a Mk2 rolling shell with the driver side done that will ne for sale shortly
Happy to get you pics of anything I can find ... also, there's a discussion about this on Trackable Miatas over on FB with a few US bods chiming in with pics and measurements

Why would you need a kit, it’s only a bit of bent plate...

Why would you need a kit, it’s only a bit of bent plate... read forums & farcebook, most owners buy pre-made as opposed to fabricating / building themselves  as to bent plate, well theres the optoin of adding strengthening ribs, swage-lines and skids to the new pan andalso reinforce the dummy chassis section (the so called 'frame rail'?) I sorta diy stuff so already have rough drawings (scribbles) but am open to advice from those with prior experience Rich. |

Defo interested in what you do on this, i've looked into it a bit as that was my plan although now undecided since i made a bag seat instead which seems to get me where i need to be. A bit lower still would probably still be preferable though
