Anyone got any experience with RTS Clutches? Looking at the twin friction unit HERE, I think they might make the popular choice from BOFI and Skuzzle but not 100% sure. Anyway, car will be getting supercharged so I think the 60% torque increase should cover me, I don't really want to use a 6 puck paddle clutch. I've already got a lightened flywheel to go along with it.# Cheers

I’ve got a Skuzzle clutch & flywheel in my FI MX5. Took a long time to bed in but that’s probably because I fitted it & then did a sprint the following day. The clutch does not slip at all & the pedal weight is pretty similar to OEM. The lightened flywheel is essential IMHO as the SC adds significantly to the engine’s rotating mass effect.

Perfect thanks Howard, they must be able to take some abuse then, you'll be keeping the same setup for your change to turbo? I guess since I've only ever had the lightened flywheel it'll feel a little heavier. Something I hadn't considered.

Nick said that the clutch is good enough to put up with pretty much anything that a Mazda engine can put out. Think I’ve done about 5000 road miles and approx 20+ sprints & hillclimbs with loads of hard standing starts on it so far without problem.

RTS previously made them, but Nick does not recommend them any more. Below is what he said on his FB page in June:

Wow, didn’t know that. Glad I got one direct from Skuzzle.
