With 15mm spacing from the trumpets to my sausage filter, back to back, Nick (Skuzzle!) saw more torque and the same power with the sausage filter on, he thinks due to some improved harmonics.. vs bare trumpets. www.jenvey.co.uk/support/faqs/throttle-body-selection/using the above guide of 350mm for 9,000rpm, that hints to ~230mm for 6,000rpm, 270mm for 7,000rpm and 310mm for 8,000rpm
I think you've got the numbers going the wrong way, if it's 350mm for 9000 rpm and 175mm for 18000 rpm, then ideal length must be longer for 7000 rpm, no?

I am running the Me221 on Auto tune to tidy up the low end of the map. The bit up to 10 percent throttle opening.

my results have been with 15mm gap between trumpet mouth and air filter, 100mm of trumpet (50mm) and spacer (50mm) _before_ the throttlebody. I don't have a measurement of the distance between the butterfly and the intake valves, it's.. it's whatever RSA build the manifold as :-)

I might have found another reason for being down on power. The Inlet cam had slipped on the vernier from its original position. The washers had deformed, so I have altered the cam back to its original mark and fitted Nord Lock washers to both cam wheels so it should never slip again.
