Spent half a day on the 7 today, new plugs and leads went in, I finally removed the sad door mirror and the driver's side as it was wobbly and likely to come off anyway. Battery is kaput and there's an issue with the auto selector but a jump pack and a bit of patience and we got her running again  I can't be bothered with the video as photobucket doesn't seem to like them but the full vid is on my FB if you want to see it, flames were the largest I've ever seen out of a completely standard car, literally 4ft flames! I'll need to buy some new door mirrors, put the old wing back on and get some tyres ordered for the new wheels. PROGRESS!!! |

Oh and I melted the bumper pretty well, need to find some heat/flame proof material to stick over the bumper where the exhaust is

New tyres ordered for the new wheels, should take a week or so before delivery... massive!
Fronts: Nankang NS20 Sportnex Noble Sport Nankang NS 20 - 235/40 R17
Rears: Nankang NS2 Sportnex Ultra Sport Nankang NS 2 - 275/40 R17
Having the same tyre front and rear would cost me more than double what I paid, as its not going to be a monster im happy with the tyres. There are only 3 choices for 275/40/R17!? Suppose it is 10J...
Next up is; reattaching everything in the engine bay, properly fitting the wings and the front bumper (theyre just held on with two bolts at the moment), changing the brake pads and then downpipe when I get some free time, oh and fitting the new wheels, shhhwing
In hindsight I should've really asked Kraigy if he could get any discount or the Falken drift guys if they have any part worn going spare, oh well.
the legendary Mr Chunk has also been tasked with finding me a set of door mirrors in decent condition, fingers crossed!

After a quick discussion with the guys at camskill it turns out they do do (do do heehee) the 235s as NS2s. They've agreed to swap the NS20s over at no extra charge (even though the 2s are a few quid more?!)

Another update and the big push to get it finished before retro rides and JAE is on. I'll probably need help from these two over the next 6 weeks...  So the good; New tyres arrived... they're massive!!! Lined up against a 5  They're now off to be fitted to the wheels, many excites!!! Got the old ones off the 7 and it's back to looking like a breaker car again  I started to take the brake calipers off as apparently the car just needed new pads, turns out the disks are beyond help so a full new set ordered from Euro car parts for £103 in their massive 55% off sale this weekend. |

I was hoping to get the wings fitted and bumper back on again along with the new brake pads but it's been another weekend of feeling like I'm just taking backwards steps but got to keep positive! The bad; The damage from the melted rear bumper from the massive flames... whoops  Looks like I'm also back off to the US with work again so that'll likely be 2 of my 6 weeks taken up  |
