That is an extremely good looking wheel. However as an owner of an original I find it rather annoying that Ebay is full of fakes. Also I prefer a wider rim, so Nardi is off my wish list.
Classic Momo variations are where it is at for me.

The Momo Prototipo is the best wheel for these for feel and size.
I did see you PM, I would have concerns over what bolt that uses as it doesn't say. You could spend a lot of money trying to get the right boss kit.

Thanks Horney. I made a low ball offer so we'll see. Otherwise I may have to stump up for something else as you suggest.

Did your momo prototipo fit onto your car with no additional boss?

Yes/No. Depends what wheel the car has already. The red one had a Momo from factory so it went straight on. The green one had a wooden Nardi and I therefore had to buy a Momo boss for that one.

also FWIW make sure you have a crush-type boss, for the sake of staying alive.

What's a crush type boss?

What's a crush type boss? A hub that will crush under conditions like car smash.. Check the design of this one from momo, it is made to bend the wheel out the way.. kind of the next best thing to an airbag.

I am sure the standard momo hub our cars came with is a crush type, but I've seen aftermarket ones that aren't (the bisexual (momo/nardi) one I cracked was a cast ally one that would not have crushed even under 10 tons).

Just for reference, this is a terrible quality pic my one (chopped from another pic): It has 'Made in Italy' stamped on the back but that appears to be it for identification markings, so I've no idea who made it! It seems to be very similar to the Prototipo wheels but has leather where the third hole on the spokes would be - I've never seen another one like it! I've no idea what the boss is either - it looks solid but like it's made out of stiff foam, but TBH I've never felt it up to find out... lol

^wannabe nice wheel. those are nardi holes pattern. momos are hole-centred vertical, nardi is horizontal like yours - I think yours might be a 'raid' ?
you can look at the boss by just unbolting the six bolts and pulling the wheel off and taking a look at what is behind it - the bolts will be going into metal, not foam, the foam is just a 'gaiter'.

Excellent nerding Atlex! A google search seems to suggest you may be right. "Raid" does show up similar options. Maybe just the horn is momo?
