So I've owned my 5 coming up to 2 years now and I don't think I'll ever want to get rid of it! I use it every day on my daily 2 hour commute to work and is by far the best part of my day! So here it is the day I got it after a good clean! Bought it blind off ebay for cheap money and expected the worse but I think I got an absolute bargain! Visible rust was minimal and the whole car was very solid. Came with an mx5parts dual exit exhaust, I was a very happy man! First thing to be changed were the wheels, followed by some interior mods and then I got some lowering springs. Decided I wanted to go lower so got my self some MeisterR Zeta-S coilovers and rolled the arches. This is how the car currently stands. Interior has been through a few changes. And this is currently my interior (will be going back to the gloss black centre console and tombstone when I find the time!). Soft top was leaking a little bit so tried to fix it......made it 10x worse so managed to get a hardtop for *technically* £40! In this picture it's covered in black vinyl but unfortunately after about a month it decided to rip itself off when I was on my way home from work! So now it's a horrible orange. Would love to have it sprayed red but will probably never be able to match it so when I have the time it will be either plastidipped or sprayed gloss black. I have a few things planned which I hope to get done in the next couple months and future plans is to turbo.......but I have a feeling I could be waiting a while (new babies are expensive!).

Some of you will already know but a bad thing happened! Split second lack of concentration and I ended in the back of my mate. I was 4th in line and for whatever reason the guy at the front slammed on the brakes. I was following 2 of my mates and the first one slammed on his breaks and stalled. The second mate so both stopped and slowed down but then so the first guy set off again but because my mate had stalled he quickly realised he wasn't going anywhere then slammed on his brakes. I must have not been quick enough to react and ended up in the back of him Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet as the crossmember looks bent so not sure if this means panels will be slightly off. The only good news is I've bought another one!

Need to organise to pick it up! I'm worried that everything is going to be on the wonk with all the new panels on

Nah it'll be fine! You can bend the odd bracket.

Not really, struggling to find front bumper and wing locally. Noticed the other day that where the front wing bolts on in the front is no longer there, I don't think this will effect it too much (as in it won't flex too much with out it) but until I get the parts I don't know.
Will start a new build thread on my replacement tomorrow!

Very good to be honest. Front and rear sills would make it through next mot but might need doing for the next. Sooner the better I suppose but might be good for another 2 mot's. Apart from that it's very solid. Chassis rails have some marks where I've scraped a bit but nothing too serious.
