So I've owned my 5 coming up to 2 years now and I don't think I'll ever want to get rid of it! I use it every day on my daily 2 hour commute to work and is by far the best part of my day!
So here it is the day I got it after a good clean!
Bought it blind off ebay for cheap money and expected the worse but I think I got an absolute bargain! Visible rust was minimal and the whole car was very solid. Came with an mx5parts dual exit exhaust, I was a very happy man!
First thing to be changed were the wheels, followed by some interior mods and then I got some lowering springs. Decided I wanted to go lower so got my self some MeisterR Zeta-S coilovers and rolled the arches. This is how the car currently stands.
Interior has been through a few changes.
And this is currently my interior (will be going back to the gloss black centre console and tombstone when I find the time!).
Soft top was leaking a little bit so tried to fix it......made it 10x worse so managed to get a hardtop for *technically* £40!
In this picture it's covered in black vinyl but unfortunately after about a month it decided to rip itself off when I was on my way home from work! So now it's a horrible orange. Would love to have it sprayed red but will probably never be able to match it so when I have the time it will be either plastidipped or sprayed gloss black.
I have a few things planned which I hope to get done in the next couple months and future plans is to turbo.......but I have a feeling I could be waiting a while (new babies are expensive!).
