Rain sports will probably only do an autosolo and maybe Llandow sprint I have a set of Michelin pilots as well Cant keep up with the name changes lol. Oooh pilots nice!! |

Fair enough rich.
I noticed i exit the esses really wide to the inside of the track and stay on a inside line through old paddock bend into hammer down. But i dont lift off through old paddock. Feels good. Changing up to 4th as i go through old paddock bend. Love it.

I will take a look at some old videos and try work out some laptimes.
I want to say 1.23ish is my best. I have driven castle combe a fair bit and still think their is time out their now its been resurfaced. so much more grip into quarry.
Car is a mk2 1.8 Exhuast, filter, cheap coilovers, R888 tyres, a few braces and stripped out a bit with some buckets.

I'm down there Friday in the mk3 daily. With my dad as a passenger, running rainsports and taking it easy being my daily I'm not expecting to see anything that fast when I review the footage when home.

Never done a flying lap at Combe, but a standing start & across the finish line was 89.54 sec which I was pleased with for 135hp.

whats the spec? edit. i noticed in another thread you were on itbs and a decent diff. what else you done? To be honest the engine isn't the strongest, but what we concentrated on was the handling. So it's got HSD Monopros, Moss ARBs, cornerweighted & geo'd. Oh & shaved rainsport3 tyres. edit- it's 138hp at the fly but the car has now gone to someone else. |

Just stopped for lunch and quickly reviews the video. 1.29 ish. Not bad as I'm on rainsports. It's certainly corner speed I'm missing. Can't wait to try the black car here with 40 more BHP, Coilovers and proper tyres.
