We would like to offer a group buy for our washer fluid tanks.
Why do need a relocated aluminium washer fluid tank you ask?
It is common for the stock plastic ones to suffer from the extra heat in a turbocharged cars engine bay. We spent a lot of time pondering over locations for this tank but in the end the only one that worked was the scuttle which was an idea originally used by IL motorsport for their tank.
About our design:
Our tank uses the stock washer pump. No need to buy a separate stand alone pump off ebay. Simply take the pump and grommet out of the stock plastic tank and push them into the new one.
The tank has a sump built into it so you can use nearly every drop of fluid in it. Being quite a long and flat space we found other tanks needed filling up when you still had half a tank to ensure the pump could pick up water at all times.
The tank has a breather to allow air to enter when water is being pumped out. This stops a vacuum forming, preventing the water from coming out.
There is a plastic cap. We found some tanks we had seen had problems with the caps corroding on and locking solid after a few months use. The plastic cap prevents this.
They come complete with stainless fasteners and cable to extend your pump wiring.
The price on our website is £68 and £6.30 shipping plus VAT - £89.16 inc.
If we can get 5 buyers we will drop the price to £55 plus VAT shipped - £66
If you wish to have your tank powder coated satin black please state when you include your name. There will be an extra cost of £9+vat. Please state plain or black when you add your name to the list.
When all five spots are filled we will open a secret area on our website and send a link via PM so that you can make payment by card. The tanks are al fabricated and boxed, sitting on the shelf ready to be dispatched via UK mail courier service.
You can find pictures of the tank on our facebook page here.
