Nooo i went through hers. Just using the solicitors firm that green light put me through to. I called them up and its an automated service. Selected the option of non fault claim and it put me through to winns solicitors. But i dont know how the system works. I need to call green light again see what they say. Im under the impression that greenlight have no input in the process. Its just winns soicitors against the womans insurance company.. in theory?,

Just spoke to jake at greenlight he did say that the option for winns is free legai cover for non fault incidents. And they will aim to recover all cost from the 3rd party. Green light has no input. And the insurance premium will not increase for a non fault incident.. thats put my mind at rest about that.. still welle see how it all actually goes down.

Update.
Nearly been 3 months now. Had a few pointless emails from solicitors saying that theyre having no response from her insurance company.
In recent weeks my insurance renewal has come through and i have been penalised for the incident. I have lost 1 years no claims for last year (the rest are protected) and i now have a claim on my file written down as my fault so my premium has gone up!
I called greenlight up to see what the Canoe was going on and they said that whilst the claim/incident is "outstanding", it automatically goes down as my fault. Apparently ile get my years no claim reinstated and and refund on my higher premium when its all sorted.
I also called the solicitors and they said that the woman hasnt even reported it to her insurance company and that i should send the pictures again to the solicitors. Apparently after 3 months the solicitors can push a bit harder and dig a bit deeper.
I dont know what to believe..

I can confirm the claim / incident being outstanding goes down as your fault until it's resolved. Same thing happened to me.
Can you call her insurance company and tell them what happened? I'm sure they'd love to know about someone they are covering who didn't report an accident.

Mate I feel all of your pain and I'm sorry to tell you this could drag on for some time. Mine took nearly 4 years. I got all of my NCB back but it was all such a mission I couldn't be bothered to go back and get all my increased premiums back.
Also if it makes you feel any better, mine got driven into while parked at home and the canoe drove off without leaving any details. Thankfully I'm just looking for a wing to repair it but it's canoeing annoying.
What I would say is, the 3rd party don't have "motive" to drag it out, but they don't really have incentive to finish it quickly either so if you're waiting for a response to something, hassle the solicitor, if they shift the blame, hassle the insurer, if they say it's the solicitor, ring them back and give them merry hell.

Id love to call her insursnce but im not sure who they are and i dont want to jeapordise anything if it ever went to court. Not that id be jeopardising anything if i called her insurance?. Maybe the solicitors would take a dislike to me and ruin the case? Because i did their job for them?. I worry alot..
The system that some of us pay 1000s of pounds a year for.. every year!! a year for seems to be a big crooked unintereted mess atm from where im sitting.
I will chase every penny up ever owed to me on this one. this one is plane as day she cant get away with it!?? Surely? .

I've still got an ongoing since last June (just before Combe Jap Day - Hence the Hyundai hiding on the stand ). Called them yesterday and they are finally sending a final notice before legal action! But still a pain in the ass, and hopefully I can get it resolved before my insurance is up again in August.

Welcome to insurance. It is a nightmare, it took me 3 years to resolve a claim I had against me that wasn't my fault. Ended up going to court. I had a claim from a motorcycle accident which also took almost 2 years to be paid out, it does make me wonder what you pay for. I had to do so much of the work in getting the claims sorted, none of the insurance companies seemed bothered about sorting any of it out. I only go with small insurance companies now, you may pay a little more but its worth it for the service they give.

My only experience with this fiasco (to put it nicely) is when my brother wrote off my car. I wasn’t in it, he was a named driver. Because he hit an object, it’s recorded as a fault claim. Yep, my fault. Great. However I have to say the insurers made it quite easy, but if a fight to get the market value back but got there in the end. So my insurance premium goes up as a result, and I still (4 years later) get phone calls about my personal injury in the accident. The best bit is the accident was recorded incorrectly in the insurance database so even though I enter the correct details when applying for insurance I always get questioned on it. Gr.
Fast forward 3.5 years to getting my Stagea and I call Greenlight. They don’t take it in to account, as it was a named driver and not me. It’s refreshing to know they aren’t trying to scam me. I believe them when they’ll say you’ll get your money back once it’s settled. I just hope for your sake that’s soon.

The latest crock of prarrie canoe.. starting to really piss me off now. Ive got a car that looks horrendous and a good chance thatlle ile have a written off car.. then i hear stories of it might not be able for a buy back option!?
Anyway.. the email.
We are still waiting for comments from the other party insurers, unfortunately they do not accept phone calls so we are unable to liaise over the telephone which is frustrating. We have emailed them as recently as last week for their comments at this stage but to date have had no response.
Unfortunately due to the circumstances we are unable to authorise any costs until we have a full admission of liability however, if you are frustrated with the length of time your claims is taking and want your repairs carried out whilst liability investigations are ongoing there is always the option to claim through your comprehensive insurance cover.
Thanks,

Hi you are definitely having a load of grief with this , what i was wandering is why you havent contacted the other partys insurers , i know you are worried about upsetting things but i think that ship has sailed From your quote i see your worried about a buy back option also , that would only not happen if the pay you full market value of the car so basically they would be buying it off you , if there paying for repairs which is what should happen the car is still yours and no one can take it off you , have you had any estimates for the damage to the car yet from body repair places ?

I would love too call them up but i have no idea who they are.
Ive asked one body shop and they said around 1500 quid. I could get it done alot cheaper but it wouldnt be proper. I need a new berkeley door or just a door sprayed in sparkle green. I need a new rear quarter panel which will need to be sprayed too. My rear left wheel needs refurbing and re painting but im not too fussed about that.
In an ideal world id take the money for repair and get a cheap door and spray it myself. Get totalmx5repair to replace the rear wing and get the inner rust repaired and ile spray that myself too.
