Hi all, a quick question I hope.
I’ve just finished fitting a TR Lane roll bar, but I’m not sure how much to torque the floor bolts. I’m mainly asking as I’m struggling to get them very tight by myself, so just wondering what others have done.
To be honest, I’m expecting the answer to be ‘pretty tight’, but thought I’d ask!

I'd reach out to TR lane and ask! Although, there are some standard torques you can probably use and get away with. If the bolts and studs are similar in size to the wheel nut/studs, I'd go with that sort of spec : 85 ft-lbs

To be honest, I don’t suppose it matter too much. I just don’t want them coming loose and not noticing - particularly as I’m going to undersealing over the nuts so retightening is going to be messy...

as above but did you put some mastic or sealant between the fitting plates and the floor, Don't forget you have drilled holes in Mazda crap metal so you need to prevent moisture getting in, this also prevents vibration so stops the nuts loosening, I assume you are using either spring washers or nylocks?

Cheers for the torque setting link. Most useful.
I have used spring washers, so that should be ok. I didn’t silicone the feet, but a previous roll bar install had put some shoddy holes through the floor so I ended up making up spreader plates for the underside and the tiger-sealing those in place, after wire brushing and using a bit of dinitrol rust converter.
I’ll then undersealing over the whole lot, which I hope will be enough.
