As per title really, does anywhere sell new OEM coolant header / expansion tanks?
MX5Parts only has alloy ones, which is the same as Moss, and Autolink only has secondhand ones that are likely to be as filthy inside as mine...
I thought I'd perhaps get a clean tank to help keep the system cleaner, given the header tank is sludgy and brown inside from when the head gasket went lol, but perhaps I should just unbolt it, disconnect the pipes and get handy with the scrubbing brushes!

Always worth trying a dishwasher tablet, some hot water and some vigourous shaking.
(Take it off the car first, unless you can pick your car up and shake that).

I cleaned mine last year.. used a mix of boiling water, washing up liquid, brake/carb cleaner and some other high volatility alcohol and a pressure washer.
Dish washer tablet suggested above sounds good. Leave it in to soak for a night, but you should probably pressure wash it first to just reduce how much is left at the bottom.
Pressure wash is messy because you only have one way into the bottle... you will get disgusting chocolate-coloured prarrie canoee on your pants and shoes. yum.

Seriously, take it off the car and get the worst of the gunk out with screwdrivers and cloths etc, then a good soak with a powerful degreaser, finished off with dishwasher tablets.
It’s only plastic, but with awkward cavities....
