Morning all. Just thought I would post some pictures of where we are up to. We have got the body off and mounted on a rotisserie I made ready to start the welding. Skate is stripped. All bushes removed. Suspension away for blasting. Not bad for a Dad and Son who had hardly used a spanner Before! Guess the hard part starts now. Engine to clean and various jobs to do as suggested on a previous question of mine on here. Suspension to rebuild, new bushes all round, new coils and springs. Then the dreaded welding. Outer sills to come off and see what lies beneath. In one picture of the sill, you can see the state of a previous will repair. Not clever. I tried to load up pictures here, but I am limited to 3, so I have tried to create a gallery here www.flickr.com/gp/160070804@N06/iGMj0DIan

whats your projected timescale? my experience of restoration is that a 300% increase of work & therefore time (with a 10000000% increase in cost! ) will probably happen are you plating the sills or replacing with new panels? (believe that Mazda panels are still available for sensable money??) also rear wings as opposed to repair panels are available, for the extra cost can save on fiddly weld & distortion chasing watching with intrest Rich.

Hi Rich. Replacing the sills with new. I can't find any full rear wings. I would prefer that as I have only started learning to weld for this project. No timescale. We will be chuffed if we get an mot in the next 12 months. Ian
