I'm in the process of looking for some bucket seats for the 5, I've found some decent Cobra Clubman locally.
Anyone able to advise the best way of fitting them? I think they sit slightly higher on 5 seat rails, but do they bolt on easily? or is there a kit for floor mounting them?
I'm 6 foot and 36" waist (on a good day) for reference.

You'll need to make or get adapters
I got some from GSM performance for £48 per seat, but you could cut some steel plate and drill it appropriately
Your waist should be fine, they will be snug but not uncomfortable

Here's a sketch I made for when I was looking into options for my clubman. Ended up selling them and got a Monaco, which I then fitted the GSM adapters to link

I've put a bid in on them. Some sparco nearby as a backup in case I dont manage to get them.

Some Sparco can be a bit easier as drivers side rails just need a bit of extra drilling to make fit

I think for a daily driver they'll work out pretty well. Ordered the GSM brackets, hopefully they don't sit you too high in comparison to standard seats. I'll update further once I have them in. Do you use a harness with yours? Intention would be to keep the standard belts in the car as well.

Yes, I use harnesses with clip-on lap belt so that I can keep the standard seatbelt. I did this by installing a 50mm eye bolt instead of the standard seat bolts on the trans tunnel and the opposite side. Should be a picture in my progress thread somewhere

Ok I don't have a pic in the thread but here's one off my phone Thanks Corders, very useful indeed. They don't come with installation instructions but I think I've figured out a way so they won't tear through seat cushion at the front and keep them low enough.

I put about 4mm worth of washers under the adapter plates, then the spacers that came with them I used to kee the OEM rails from fouling the adapters and bolt heads

Plan is to bolt adapters in position on the rails, remove and fit the seat, then refit. Spacer on the top with the bolt head allows for clearance for the nyloc nut within the seat rail. On the front where that would clash on the seat cushion I'm going to cut the bolt down by the spacer height. Putting it down here so I can remember what the plan is
