Ive got myself a nice pair of mk2 elise seats for my NBFL, but whilst this appears to be a common mod, I can't find anyone making brackets any more. Does anyone on here know of any?
Thanks in advance.

I bought mine last year from eBay Shop uklotuscentre: Lotus seat brackets on eBayI paid £99 + shipping, now they are much more expensive! Probably because nobody else makes them. They are strong and fitted well on the drivers side, but you do need to drill some extra holes for the passenger seat (on an NA). Easy to do though with a sharp drill. Might be your only option....

A friend of mine recently got some from the UK lotus centre as well. Cost £135 and neither side fitted. Sent them back and got replacements, neither side fitted again. Got another set sent out, and they didn't fit either. Ended up selling the Elise seats and getting some Corbeau seats. I got the mounts off him, and yep, they don't fit. I'm hoping to make something better when I have some Elise seats, but I'd be tempted to buy some standard Elise mounts and bolt them onto the MX5 rails

Thanks guys. Were the uk lotus centre brackets mx5 specific?
I've been contemplating using elise brackets, but it appears passenger side and drivers side are different, and then it sounds like mx5s are different on driver and passenger side too so I wondered if they would work. I'll have to pull my seats out and have a measure.

Apart from being too high, my issue is that the standard seats (and therefore presumably all other brackets that use the same fixing holes in the same way) are offset to the left of the steering wheel / pedals...
I want to get it 3D scanned so some correcting rails can be made up!

Thanks all,
Ill give those brackets a go. I don't mind having to tweak them to get them to fit, it will be easier than me having to fab something from scratch.

So I bought a set of the brackets from UK Lotus centre as I couldn't find anything else. They are nicely made although I'd say expensive for what they are, but I guess that's Lotus tax. The ebay ad does say some modification might be necessary due to variations in the seat design over the years. It took me a solid day to fit them, with a few holes needing enlarging, or moving altogether and some clearance for the slider mechanism cable. The brackets come identical for driver and passenger seat, but the rails on the passenger side are actually narrower so this required extra modifying. This solution is safe, solid and looks pretty OEM so Im happy. I don't feel like I've gained much extra room but the seats themselves are definitely more supportive and the lumber adjustment is much appreciated. Edited to add I've no idea why the pic doesn't show, I used Mighty 5s image uploader and it worked as I was typing it...

Nice one Ben! It sounds like you had the same "challanges" as me I'm happy with the fit and strength of the brackets. I've seen some pretty ropey DIY mounts, the worst being made from that grey dexian angled stuff you use for shelving...looked dangerous! cheers - Andy
