I've seen it used on another forum but it was removed fairly quickly - in that case it ended up being seen as a way to rally against people and create bad feeling rather than as a constructive comment/feedback.
This place is quite small, though, so it might not be an issue.

on other platforms I use the 'ignore' feature, for example, on 'nuts & the Mx5-Miata forum, suspension-TrOlL (jerrick) was the first I 'ignored' as he chirped on everything mentioning suspension to the extent that I will never buy his tiwaneese dampers I have added a few others..... Rich. (expecting to be ignored on this thread )

Yes, after you pointed it out I used the ignore feature for extremist we had on here for a while, worked a treat.
