I actually PMd him for advice as I was thinking of buying a mini (in the end I ended up buying another ex BL with a Tailgate McNoIndicate interest - a rover 75, but that’s another story😂)
I had no reply so that did worry me a bit
Hope he’s ok

Glad to see you back, 2020 has been a ballache indeed. I hope your finding some positives from it somwhere! I was worried that I'd finally decided to crawl out of the lurk space since 2017 and get involved just as the place was about to fall on its rear canoe lolol. Touch wood, my mini has been pretty reliable. I think it helps that 1320 buoy the engine and I’ve not fiddled with it since.
It does like to ear driveshafts though. Lol.

My plans are all up in the air. I lost my job and at the moment I’m working in a window factory as the odd job man while I try and get myself back on my feet.

Harsh! Still, you have at least some employment so I guess one has to be grateful for that in the current economy... I've been out of work since January - managed to clear my debts but am virtually out of money now, so something (anything) would be good right now... May we all do better this coming year!! |

It's been a bit of a horror story for so many, wife and I count our blessings, we've both been in full employment all the way through, (company I work for is heavily involved in the fight against Covid). My son should have been taking his A levels but did get all the grades he needed for uni. I'm really hoping we can all get back to some sort of normal for xmas at least.
Good fortune to all of you and I hope everything comes good for those of you that have had such a crap time.
