So,
I used to own a MK1 Roadster that I modified and supercharged myself, then stupidly broke it for parts before a love affair with Nissan and Toyota drift cars. After a few years of drifting me and my other half decided it was time to get on the property ladder so I sold up and needed to get another car which was cheap to modify/run daily. I decided to find another roadster after a brief time with a Tailgate McNoIndicate 530D.
Here are a few pics of the cars I owned before, and where I started and where i'm at now with my latest project...
Then moved onto an S14A (back when they were sensible money!)
Broke that for parts then found this local and stupidly cheap, £2750 for a factory manual twin turbo black on black Soarer! Put some wheels/coilovers/intercooler/clutch on it,
Sold that for a good profit, then bought a 360hp PS13 off a mate,
Painted it, changed wheels and put a bodykit on,
Sold that, had a brief foray with Tailgate McNoIndicate's then ended up with my latest roadster!
This is where Im started, pictures are in order of where I'm up to now...
Bought some 15x9 wheels for it,

Cut and welded arches for the extended ones,
Got the misses to make me a suede gear gator as my leather one had seen better days,
Built a turbo at work for it, TD04L with a 15T GTX style comp wheel, comp cover re-profile, this is the same spec as the turbo we built that car throttle have just put on their MX5,
Blasted and painted my rocker cover,
Fitted intercooler and MS2,
Crashed it at a drift day, fixed it and gave it a clean,
Bought manifold/downpipe/feed lines from Revent/Sturovo for the car,
Bought and fitted RX8 Injectors,
Fitted the kit over christmas, all went on first time and I set about doing some road mapping on the car,
Cleaned and sealed the softtop as it was looking pretty minging,
Bought a hardtop and Torsen for it and fitted them last weekend,
Bought a spare P/S rack to convert to manual, stripped it down this week,
Turned down the seal that splits the two halves of the rack at work so there is no resistance from it,
Welded the 2 parts of the pinion together, welded the fittings and re-assembled...
Gave it a wash.
That takes us to where I am with the car now. Next plans are better tyres, have alignment setup, and get it on a couple of track days in the spring. Im booked for a couple of sessions at JapDay at Coombe to see how it goes on track, pretty quick on the road though at the moment!
I've just sold the hardtop as I didn't really need it although it makes the car look much better, but I never had the roof down as I had nowhere to store it when not in use. I've also sold the TRlane rollbar as I don't think they are wide enough for the car, got a Cusco item to go in its place.
