been watching the Olympics lastnight / this morning, most of the 1st heat surfing & some scateboarding.....

first observation is the lack of spectators
feel a little sad that these athletes / competitors have missed out on the crowds but theChina-virus WuFlu has messed things up a little 
secondly, the surfing is having it's olympic debut and so far I've seen nothing exciting EXCEPT some scoring being a little 'interesting' with some low scores given
the scating was interesting as it is now more clinical than the older Tony Hawk days but I suppose lastnights comp was street not freesytle (freestyle later in the week)
And yes, maybe my intrest in these is based on personal hobby not the olympic spirit but
