E5 fuel

I always used Tesco Momentum in my 1.6 with supercharger, topped up the daily yesterday, loads of diesel and E10 unleaded but no momentum, the highly trained Tesco operative, when questioned, said he did not think they were going to get anymore!
Blurbs in the press prior to the changeover had intimated that forecourt’s would keep an E5 pump for older vehicles.
I phoned Tesco who said they would only supply E5 Momentum where there was historical demand.

That's... annoying... Historical demand for E5 (or less) for vehicles that *need* it surely can't be ascertained, given there was no way to determine who was buying Regular and who was buying Super? Surely they need to keep a Super and then judge uptake?? Bloody irritating, frankly. But it's alright, we'll reduce plant food CO2 by a fraction of a fraction of a percentage  |

Looks Like I will have to steal some of the wifes Silver foil to coat my fathers old Bowler Hat then. If Tesco stop selling the good stuff I will have to just buy Shell Go Juice from my local garage. I dont have an tuned ITB Mazda for its fuel economy. My next door neighbours are very Green and XR so I am burning fossil fuel to make more carbon dioxide its all about keeping the balance !!!! |

plenty of diesel & unleadded (e10) in local tesco fuel station, out of momentum / super-unleadded but next delivery coming early next week:) interestingly, the previous delivery of momentum was early December and ran out during lastweek's idiot-buying  anyway, if theres possible electricity blackouts it'll suck to own a tesla or pius etc. Rich. |

The fuel in the petrol station tanks is 10 months old?? aparently so, suppose it wasn't a popular fuel in that station  that said, I've not bought petrol for ages, last was for the chainsaw  diesel & veg-oil in most of my vehicles.... Tl,dr BUT..... set fire to it? - burn the ethenol off or... guessing it's mix with water, let fuel float on water & decant as the alcohol will stay in the water? Rich. |
