This is my first car and its mx5 mk1 j limited import, hopefully will be on road on the 18/10/21 if i pass my test . Currently the car is boosted which is a plus (who doesn't like a turbo) it did belong to a guy that is on this forum so no doubt you will recognize the car
lol it is the actual car that's in the picture on the top off this website in the banner up there ---^^^ , i will post all the car changes on here. I have already changed the steering wheel, steering boss and added quick release,halo lights, changed the shifter and got a hardtop pic's to follow. Here are the pic's from the advert when i bought the car. 01/09/21

New hardtop need to get it painted yellow Finally passed my driving test π 3rd time lucky lol I can finally drive car on my own now , just done mot and it failed on emissions and parking brake apparently calliper was not working at all at the back got it all fixed and changed the Rocker cover gasket , Cam angle sensor o ring, clutch release bearing, fuel filter, new spark plugs , done mot again and passed without any issues ππΌ Can finally start enjoying the car now π, next I got to get car raised up as it scrapes on even the tiny speed bump is way to low at the front , bought some bits as well to put on , Dave fab oil catch can and the Coolant Tank thatβs next job.

Welcome! Love that car. Impressed by the 'first car' choice. Turbo MX5s aren't playing about Add legendary handling to CHUBO and you get a lot of fun. They're also fairly easy to lose control of, as in 'power oversteer' especially in the wet. First turbo car I owned I did this come off a junction onto the M4 in west Reading. Narrowly didn't cause a real accident. Had a blow-out a few miles later. Admittedly the tyres were the famed 'Avon ZZ1 Ditchfinders'. If you're new to driving fast cars I recommend putting some time in on a skid pan or some driver training. Autosolos, also!

Yeh I had a look at insurance and is coming up as Β£237 for a year on classic car insurance hopefully it will be that price come Monday π

Is the roof dark purple or black? The camera makes it look purple, lol I personally think it would look good black - too much of one colour can be 'too much'! Definitely seek out some skidpad training - preferably without the 'cradle' setup that I can't believe is realistic enough. An airfield trackday would also be a good idea - get a feel for higher speed behaviour with nothing really to hit. Look at the IAM / RoSPA advanced driver training as it (IMO) makes a massive difference to safety - by which I don't mean it makes you slowwww everywhere, because it makes you slower where you need to be cautious and faster where the risks are lower Or at least that's how I interpret it lol

Well it's been while since a updated the build on here, done loads of mods to car, start with the interior. Nrg quick release and race hub , had to relocate horn button , new momo wheel, AEM boost and afr gauges, new double din android pumpkin stereo with reversing camera, just send it air vents and wheel holder, likewise shifter with short shifter, trackdoor cards, jl audio c2-650x speakers and jd400/4 amp in boot, in phase 600w sub behind seat. Other bits KG Works spoiler, Jass performance mirrors, coil on plug kit (COP's), proram air filter, skidnation coolant reroute,m2 motor sport radiator, dave fab oil catch can and coolant tank. Been fully serviced with water pump and belts replaced as well, then took it down to DanST Performance Engineering for a tune up she is running 270 BHP on high boost and 195 BHP on low boost. Just got new seats and harness that will be next on to do list

I recommend going down the NBFL route for brakes, or if you want aftermarket, get the supermiata boxmount setup which takes ND Rotors.
