Entered my first event for the year the other day, so I thought it was about time to start another one of these threads.
I'm doing Goodwood on 20 April (Bognor Regis club event), just need to get the car back and working properly by then.
I've got a spreadsheet of events listing all the dates and where they score points in different championships, so trying to maximise points scored in as many as possible at the same time. I'm entering the Sevenoaks Speed League (free as a member), AEMC Speed (£10 entry), ACSMC sprint and hillclimb (£5 each), and Classic Marques (£50). Listing them out like that, Classic Marques seems a bit pricey but it also has a really good atmosphere, and the handicap system means my little car can compete with much faster machinery.
Last year I wondered whether I should just focus on one championship and try to get to as many events as possible, but I'm going to give it another go spreading across multiple series and see how it goes. Hoping to get to a few more events so that should help with point scoring, I only made it to seven last season.
Anyway, who else is getting out there?

I might be having another year out My Mad engine is still work in progress and I need a new skid lid. I have committed a lot of money to one of my other toys this year. I bought a small racing Yacht which is eating up my toy fund for a while.

I hadn't looked at the B19 championship before, actually looks like most of the events are not stupidly far away and the best 7 count...that's pretty good for me as I rarely make it to more than 8 events in a season anyway. Might sign up too!

New Skid Lid should arrive this week. I will need to re insure and tax the Monster and try and get an entry for Werrington Park in may.

Still never seen a list/table with actual helmet weights on it, and don't feel like I can stretch to a carbon one (at least until the Subaru sells) so will probably go for a Zamp, Hedtec or V2 Supervent, all around the £300 mark.
You should enter Werrington as an added incentive to get the car back on the road!

It looks like Hedtech Skid Lid is delayed, It should arrive in time for Werrington on May 5th. I am on the entry list but not had confirmation from the club yet. I have only entered the Sunday this year, I will have to tax the Eunos at the end of the month for its six months of summer use. It looks like the Cornwall Chapter of the MX5 OC are doing a run to Werrington to spectate on the Sunday.

Hi Folks,
New skid lid has arrived. I ended up on the reserve list for Werrington and have just had an entry confirmed this evening. So I will have to dig the car out and use it a bit more to get used to it again. Its only been out of the garage three times this year ? I have been concentrating on my wet toy which is now on its mooring and has been raced once so far but it will get used every Thursday evening for local racing.

Sounds exciting! I've got a new helmet too, mine was out of date. Went for a V2 Supervent, full face but with a peak and a visor so I can swap them over as needed.
I had to scratch from the Goodwood sprint on Saturday, as the car failed the MOT, with rust being the main thing I couldn't fix. It'll be picked up tomorrow to have the sills sorted (both sides, at the rear of the doors where the seatbelt mountings are), and hopefully back on the road before the next sprint I'm booked on, Debden on 12 May.
Made the mistake of looking at the results from Goodwood, if I had repeated my best time from last year I would have won the class by 5 seconds! Big if, of course.

Are you sure you want to go on a CRASH Diet ??
I might have to borrow the wifes Spanx ( OOPs wrong forum for that )
I have managed to fit in the same race suit for quite a few years but will need to check over the weekend.

I fitted into my race suit better than a couple of years ago. Werrington was fun Damp Practice followed by a dry first run which gave me a personel best time on the hill. We then had a lunch break which allowed the heavens to open resulting in much mud being removed from the paddock to be left on the tyre warming area then onto the start line which resulted in much wheelspin and wiggling for the first 100 yards. Four wheel drive Audi Turbo took the class win.
