I hope this is in the right place, doesn't seem to be an electrical problems section like on almonds?
Anyway, the wiring from my cam angle sensor has at some point come into contact with something hot or sharp and has broken, causing the obvious unhappy (read un-run-y) engine.
I have since repaired and repaired it, but I guess with the increased heat and vibration it is under a fair bit of stress. I've now run out of wire, right at the CAS plug, and its hanging on by a thread. This makes for uncomfortable driving as when it does flex and break it kills the spark and gives me whiplash.
I have a new plug with a decent length of wire on order, the question is, how is the best/proper/strongest way to wire these together. So far my tried and tested "bend the kayakers together and cover that prarrie canoe in tape" has (unsurprisingly) failed, as has a chocolate block, as has crimping/heatshrink, and finally soldiering/heatshrink.
There must be a way that actual people with actual skillz do this....?

I would suggest soldering and heat shrink and then some of that heat resistant sleeve over the top. Sounds strange though that it keeps breaking, must be under strain, have you got lots of movement of your engine for some reason, mount gone??
