Having swapped my large crank pulley in I have now found my belt collides, ever so gently, with my water pump pulley. Any suggestions on a solution?
The collision is so light I'm not sure if I will simply be able to polish the pulley with some sandpaper to gain the millimeter or so I require, or is this a really bad idea?

Is it an overlay? Nick at Skuzzle mentioned some of them don't line up too well. I don't have any issues with my TDR 146mm pulley so not something I've come across.

Not an overlay, its a machined aluminium replacement. I'm not sure it is the position of the pulley that is the problem, more that the belt leaves the crank and heads to the idler in such a direction as to just touch the bulge in the centre of the water pump pulley with the back of the belt.

FYI, solved this by replacing my existing idler pulley with a Ford Puma idler pulley which is slightly larger, moving the belt down and away from the centre of the water pump pulley.

I was looking at mine the other day and thought about your problem... On my 146mm pulley it's quite close so it's possible the extra 4mm diameter causes it to foul. Glad you found a relatively simple and elegant solution! Great thinking outside the box

Lol, most of my thinking is outside the box, because I don't know where the box is, or why its there!
