This place should have a track prep thread, where we can discuss things such as aero, alignment, lightness, tyres and other cool things that makes mx5's slayers of the mighty. Law and some other duderinos on here should be able to put in some good things. My car is really overweight and albeit not prarrie canoe slow, I bet law among others is quicker than me. Lets do the community thing

But that is more of a "where will you be when -thing"
And granted, lightening and aero could go under handling and exterior, track reliability under engine and drivetrain. But it would be nice to have all track specific stuff collected.

The problem is the topics apply equally to those making fast road cars with no interest in track time.
I'd rather not duplicate technical sections as it makes stuff hard to find.
May I suggest starting the topic int he relevant technical sub forum and then starting a post in the Trackday section with link in it to the technical post?

Should probably work may do some kind of writeup of my thoughts later on, and try to include some sources etc.
