So i bought a daily Ford Fiesta Mk4 1.3 Finnesse, 1997 T reg. it has a sunroof and 5 doors and that's about it here's some pics from the ad: it's a bit taller than HMS Corders But i got straight into modifying it by putting the gearknob that i used to have in my old Fiesta mk3 There's a chance i'll be updating this at some point

Probably a good rund-around, but Finesse? Ford might be stretching things a bit

yeah, there's not much finesse about it! certainly not in the engine - based on the Kent engine that was made in the 60's

Why's it called Mansell?
Anyway good but for a daily. Mrs Horne had a silver 3 door encore with that engine. Nothing would kill it and it was cheap as chips to run.

My Mrs used to have a Ka which of course is essentially the same thing with a different body shape. Actually a surprisingly good drive, very lively and responsive. Those Endura engines will take a huge amount of abuse. I serviced it for her shortly after she got it and we discovered it hadn't had one for nearly 40,000 miles! It was still fine though, and after I'd changed oil/filters etc. and adjusted the tappets it still pulled like new. The engine outlasted the car in the end, the rust got too bad and we had to scrap her. Only thing to look out for is the spark plugs can sometimes seize into the block cos they are very close to the exhaust ports. But you probably know that already

Wifes first car. She'd never had it serviced in the few years I'd known her until I actually asked her. Low on oil and out of service for about 30k and still ran. Same happened here. I patched it up body work wise but it eventually saw the scrappy yard in the sky even with a sound engine. Tappy as hell. You could hear her coming a mile off.

I never could get comfy in the driving seat of one though. Peddles were close together and my legs used to go above he steering wheel.

I agree with the pedals thing...feels pretty cramped down there
Love the removable sunroof though
