Every short shift kit I've had a go with in an mx5 has been utter rear canoe. Ruined the feel of the shift and frankly I don't think the the shift needs shortening.

That said this is all on 5 speed boxes. Not tries one on a 6. It might improve the shift in those as while it's good it's not a patch on the 5.
