I'll be doing some of the events in the Sevenoaks Speed League, not sure which ones yet but there are ~30 spread across the season, best 10 scores count. Haven't managed to do 10 events in a season yet! Regs and entry forms here

Had a look at the regs, the scoring/handicapping looks really complex, how do you know on the day what position you are in??
The calendar has probably a few too many long drives from me to make it worth entering, though I'll be doing Lydden and probably Goodwood (October) as they are in the 7Oaks Speed League calendar too. Not sure I'll trek down to Watergate Bay again, it's a great course and I can stay with family down there but 5 hours each way for 10 minutes action over the weekend is a bit much!

Only have to do 8 events🙂 I just do the ones I want. There’s a scoreboard or watsapp update after each run depending on if the timing team are at the venue or remote. Simple 🙂

Doesn't really count as a sprint, although most of it is sprint regulations, but if you're anywhere near Silverstone on Saturday, the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy is on and free entry for spectators, including to the paddock. There are seven MX5s entered, plus 120-odd other cars from a 1917 Hudson racer to a 2021 GR Supra, via Jag XK120 and Ford GT40! More info hereI'm in the white Mk1, car #40

Well, I had a lot of fun at the Pom. Morning session was cold but dry, and I had no dramas on the tests - could have been a bit more aggressive on the wiggle woggle (though that is where I crashed my old Scooby, so didn't want to try too hard), and could have waited a fair bit longer to start braking on the brake test. Standing and flying quarter miles went well though, and there was SO MUCH GRIP on the corners I wanted to stay out much longer.
It then rained while I was in the garage, but stopped again before my afternoon session, so the track was wet but getting fairly dry by the end of the 40 minutes on the GP Circuit. According to my timer I completed 12 laps (of the 13 target) so that'll lose me 10 points, but I didn't spin or crash and was really having fun, and getting quicker each lap. Will have to see when the provisional results come out how I actually did, the handicapping is very hard to guess!

Provisional Pom results came yesterday, I didn't do very well really, 59th overall I think. Got a 0 for test B as I must have stopped short of putting my front wheels in the box :-( Would have been a bit more respectable with 40-odd more points. Also I thought I'd done 12 laps but the results only credited me with 11, so lost 20 points for not hitting my target of 13. Last time I did it in the same car, my target was only 10 laps.

Put my entry in for Lydden Hill sprint, 16 July - 1.75 laps per run. It's part of lots of championships and was a great sunny day last year. Also double-driving with my Dad on Prescott long course with the VSCC in September, haven't done it since 2019 but now he's coming out of hibernation and venturing across the Tamar.
